My grandfather put a larger lawnmower motor on the front of an old horse cart and goes around the niehgborhood in it. He goes grocery shopping and to work in it, much more affordable then his car.

ok - here's an opportunity to use the excess rickshaw capacity when you're not touring to make extra cash....you could take tourists for rides.....
seriously. look how captive we all are in here.....surely there are some unsuspecting tourists who would spend their dollars to listen to your commentary about whatever area you're touring.....
i'm thinking it has some real possibility.
